After the successful reintroduction of the popular Airis Sport High-Pressure Inflatable Kayak, Walker Bay has followed up with a redesign of the Play Single and Play Tandem inflatable kayaks. New product improvements for 2012 include a more streamlined silhouette, making them lighter and more compact than before.
The new Airis Play Single is 8’6” long and 31.5 inches wide, weighs a mere 15 lbs, and has a weight capacity of 225lbs. Retail price is $799.
The new 12 foot Airis Play Tandem weighs in at 26 lbs, is 31.5 inches wide and features three seating positions allowing the kayak to be paddled solo or tandem. The kayak carrying capacity is 450 lbs and retails for $1199.
Both inflatable kayaks now have three inflation chambers, and feature the Airis AirWeb construction, allowing them to be pumped up to higher pressures of 6.5 PSI. Each comes with the nifty Airis Backpack, a seat (two for the Tandem) and repair kit. The package also includes a dual-personality hand pump with gauge – this converts from double-action to single action, making it easier to attain the higher pressures.
The Airis Play Single and Airis Play Tandem will be arriving in late May at AirKayaks.com. See the website at http://www.AirKayaks.com for details on the Airis Inflatables lineup.
