Sneak Preview: New Stiffy Inflatable SUP from Advanced Elements

This week at the Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City, Utah, Advanced Elements unveiled the revolutionary new “Stiffy” inflatable stand-up paddle board, which will be available in Spring 2013.

The new Stiffy inflatable SUP design incorporates aluminum support shafts along the sides of the board. These 2-pc breakdown components give the SUP extreme rigidity, yet can be removed and rolled up with the board, allowing it to be packed down and transported anywhere in the world. Side cutouts allow the aluminum shafts to be flush with the rails, allowing the board to maintain a 30-inch width without sacrificing stability.

Two side fins and a removable deep water tracking fin enhance paddling performance.

The Advanced Elements Stiffy features 5 stainless steel d-rings for attaching gear, and comes with carrying case, instructions, repair kit and single action hand pump.

Specs:
Length: 11’
Width: 30”
Weight:  32 Lbs.
Max Capacity: 230 Lbs.

MSRP on the new Stiffy is $1199.

The Stiffy will join the AE1010 Hula 11 as part of the growing Advanced Elements inflatable SUP line – MSRP on the Hula 11 will be increasing to $899 in 2013. Additionally, Advanced Elements is introducing the Hula 8, a 16.5 lb. shorter version of the current Hula for children and smaller adults, with a $799 price tag.

Stay tuned and we will let you know more details on the Advanced Elements AE1061 Stiffy inflatable SUP as they become available.
