Last month at the Outdoor Retailer sporting goods show, Advanced Elements announced the newest two additions to their growing inflatable paddle board line – the Lotus YSUP and Fishbone ISUP – and the new Alani fiberglass SUP paddle.
The Lotus YSUP addresses the growing interest in Yoga paddle boards. Weighing in at 28 lbs, the 10 foot Lotus YSUP features a thicker, 6-inch deep drop stitch material with a wider 32 inch beam and snub-nose, making it more stable for a balanced yoga session and smoother ride.
Other yoga-specific details include a convenient, removable carrying strap, eliminating the need for a carrying handle in the center of the board. An extra-long (nearly full length) traction pad provides a clear deck surface with improved grip for maximum comfort. Three d-rings located at the board tail allow the paddler to attach gear or leash.
The Lotus YSUP inflatable paddle board comes with carrying case, single-action hand pump with gauge, three removable tracking fins, shoulder carry strap and repair kit. The ISUP is rated for 200 lbs. Model #AE1062. MSRP $999.
The Advanced Elements 11 foot Fishbone inflatable SUP features a unique displacement hull design – by connecting with the water at the bow, the Fishbone cuts through flat water to provide optimal speed and performance.
Three removable tracking fins – two standard and one deep fin – increase trackability, while multiple d-rings located at the nose and tail can be used to attach gear, bungee deck lacing or a leash. The Fishbone weighs 26.5 lbs and features a thicker, 6-inch drop stitch material with a 30 inch beam, suitable for riders up to 230 lbs.
The Fishbone inflatable paddle board comes with carrying case, single-action hand pump with gauge, removable tracking fins, valve adaptor and repair kit. Model #AE1063. MSRP $999.
The Alani SUP paddle is a one piece paddle that can be adjusted from 170-213cm. The ultra-light shaft is rigid, yet weighs only 2.1 lbs. Blade size is 16″ long x 7.5″ wide. Model #AE2057. MSRP $99.
The Lotus YSUP, Fishbone ISUP and Alani SUP paddle should be available in early 2014.
